About Me

I am Ymasumac Maranon, PhD, a writer, scholar, cultural worker, and keeper of healing spaces based in California, offering speaking, facilitation, writing, and community research rooted in social justice education. For more than twenty years I have worked in grassroots organizing and educational systems, while tending healing practices that began in my youth. I stand entre mundos, between Quechua ancestry in Bolivia and English-Irish roots in New England, and I move between classrooms, community circles, and scholarly forums to help people read their reality and re-pattern their lives.
